2026 is here!

Well we are early in 2026 and I can’t believe how quickly 2025 went by. While this isn’t an original thought, the older I get the quicker time goes by and the more dear family and friends I lose.

In 2025 we were so sorry to say goodbye to Bob’s mom Clara, some dear friends Penny Morgan and Michele Hart Jahraus here locally. An old friend in Germany lost his dad in the fall, and Sepp was a big part of my life when I lived there. Naturally loss and time are a cause for reflection and, for me, gratitude for the memories made with each special person.

My gardening plans for this year are simple; I will start seeds in the greenhouse for starts to plant in my garden, and hope to plant enough to sell a few starts at my farmstand in late May. There will be veggies, herbs and flowers grown this year for sale at the farmstand as they come in to season, and I hope in the next year or two this is mostly evenly balanced with my baking.

When the weather breaks, I will start baking again and likely adding in an extra day or two of being open each week. I’ll still keep Sundays as a day off but will likely add at least one or two other days during the week, if the business looks like it will have demand. I’m still trying to figure out my schedule but anticipate adding some more time for baking than the past few years.

There will be baked goods, chocolate covered strawberries, and other goodies for Valentine’s day this year, along with flower bouquets from IndieGrow Flower Farm. We haven’t figured out any details yet, other than we want to support you and your loved ones this year with some wonderful offerings. Stay tuned for more details…..

There’s not much more on my mind today, I’m just rambling a little to anyone who wants to read this, LOL. I’m recovering from having been sick twice in a month and am looking forward to a slow ramp up into 2026.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and start to your year! All my best, Andria
